Midland Grand Dining - St Pancras, London

The Midland Grand Dining is located within the historic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, an iconic building protected by the London Heritage Trust.
This project was realised in collaboration with Light.iQ London. The interior design, by Studio Hugo Toro in Paris, harmoniously combines history and modernity.

The main objective was to celebrate the historical elegance of the venue, respecting the original neo-Gothic architecture, while at the same time creating a sophisticated ambience for high-end dining.

One of the major challenges was to integrate the lighting into the architecture without compromising the historical elements, in line with the constraints of the Superintendency, and to ensure that the atmosphere remained intimate and welcoming for guests.

The lighting has been carefully designed to enhance the architectural details and historically rich furnishings.

Accent lighting emphasises neo-Gothic arches and columns, while light integrated into the furnishings plays a crucial role, highlighting the richness of the surfaces and decorative details.

Decorative lamps also designed by Hugo Toro have been used to diffuse a warm, enveloping light. This combination of architectural and decorative lighting adds depth and charm to the space.

The Midland Grand Dining offers an experience that celebrates the history of the venue, with a lighting design that preserves and enhances the neo-Gothic character of the room.

Carefully placed, integrated lighting enhances the architectural details and furnishings, creating an elegant and cosy ambience that uniquely combines past and present.
